Easy Self Care for Entrepreneurs

You would be hard pressed to find a business owner who would disagree if you said starting a business takes up all your time. When you launch a business, and as you put your energy into growing it, it feels like you need to use every available hour of the day to increase your chances of success. While you might be thriving on the effort you’re putting into your work, spending all your time working isn’t a good idea. You need to look after yourself if you want to be healthy enough to run your business. A plan for self-care helps you stay on track.

Sourced from Pixabay

Get the Right Business Support

If you’re a solopreneur, you’ll be doing pretty much everything yourself, by definition. However, even someone single-handedly running a business can get help in the right places. The right support for tasks both big and small will stop you taking on too much. You might start off outsourcing some of your work to freelancers. As your business grows, you might require some supportive computer services for your office, and some permanent employees. No one can do everything entirely alone, so you should look for business services that can support you on your journey, from mentors to contractors.

Give Yourself a Routine

How often do you find yourself burning the midnight oil? While you sometimes need to work a late night or two, it’s not healthy to do it all the time. Being in control of your schedule is great too, but if your days are all over the place, it might not be doing a lot for your health. Setting up a routine for yourself could be what you need. You get to decide when you do what, but you can craft a routine that helps you meet your goals and stay on track each day. The good news is, you could work from noon to 8 pm if you wanted to, and fit everything else around your work.

Healthy Diet and Exercise

Busy entrepreneurs have a tendency to forget to look after themselves while they’re working. If you’ve ever looked up from your desk to realize you haven’t moved for five hours or eaten all day, you might need to give your habits a rethink. Eating healthily and getting plenty of exercise are both important if you want to take care of yourself. A good routine can help with these things because you can schedule your exercise and healthy meals every day.

Don’t Cut Yourself Off

Being an entrepreneur can be lonely. Even if you’re communicating with clients or people you work with, it’s not the same as socializing. Your business might need your attention, but it’s important not to neglect your social life. Getting out and meeting people is essential. It stops you getting lonely, and if you work at home, it makes sure you leave the house occasionally too.

Self care is often something you need to work at. Not everyone realizes that they need to take better care of themselves, so think about whether you’re looking out for your own needs.

How To Move Forward In Life

It can often feel like your life has come to a grinding halt at some point. You might be going, coming home and eating, going to sleep, and repeating. It can be this daily life cycle that often makes you feel as though your life has stopped dead in its tracks. There are other areas of life that you might be falling behind in that others aren’t that can leave you feeling pretty rubbish as well. But before you let your life carry on this way any longer, we’ve put together a few ways in which you can pick up the pace, sort yourself out, and make life enjoyable again.

Social Life

Your social life plays a big part in how happy you are in life. But if you’re so tired and consumed from work, it is often hard to get the motivation to actually go out and have one. But a booming social life is the key to happiness. You need your friends around you to keep you sane, and keep you distracted from the normal stresses of life. Before you let work and other things consume you, plan a get together with friends once a week. It could be for some drinks, food, or even just go round one another’s houses to have a good gossip. It is this distraction that breaks up the week and makes you feel as though you’re actually leading a life outside of work.

Money Situation

Your money situation is something that really can bring your life to a grinding halt. If you let it get bad enough, you’ll often find it controls you more than anything else can. So many people across the world get themselves into a sticky situation, so it is important to make sure you don’t feel alone, or as though you’re a bad person. For one reason or another it does just happen sometimes. All you need to do is focus on getting out of it sooner rather than later. A lot of people turn to debt consolidation loans to try and help them in this area. It brings your debt into one monthly payment, and helps to make things more manageable. Just visit companies such as debtconsolidation.loans if you’re looking for more information. But the main thing you need to do is be strict with yourself. If you’ve got credit card debt, cut up your card so you can’t be tempted to use it. This is the most common way for people to get into debt. It is easy enough to feel as though it is money you don’t have to pay back, but it’ll creep up on you.

Lifestyle Changes

It is often the lifestyle changes we make that leave us feeling how we do. Even from the things we eat. If your diet is full of high fatty and sugary foods, you’re going to feel bogged down in every walk of life. Try switching to a healthier diet for just three days of the week, and see how that affects you. Slowly increase the amount of days and before you know it you’ll feel so much better.

Live Your Life Like A Legend: Learn From Your Mistakes

Looking fly is only half of the equation when it comes to living the life of a modern gentleman. In fact, you want your life to be as epic as your appearance suggests and to do that you need to make sure that you are dealing with your mistakes in the right way. Something you can learn more about if you keep reading.

Picture

Nothing ventured nothing gained

Everybody makes mistakes, it just a fact of life, something that is proved by the discussion at https://www.quora.com/. Trying to be so perfect that you never put a foot wrong is not only unrealistic but can be pretty stressful as well. In fact, in extreme cases, it can cause you more problems than actually making the mistakes in the first place. This is because you can become so anxious about the situation that you don’t do anything, something that isn’t going to get you any further towards ticking those goals off your bucket list.

Image

That is why it’s vital that you allow yourself to make mistakes, and not beat yourself up when you do. In fact, as long as they are dealt with in the right way, they can actually be a really useful learning experience.

Mistakes don’t define us

Next, it’s vital to remember that as https://goinswriter.com/ states our mistakes don’t define us. They are not our identity, yes there may be things that we would go back and chance if we could, but that doesn’t mean that they are relevant to who we are now. In fact, the mark of a man is often when he can rise to overcome in his life, including his own mistakes made in his youth.

Image here

Even the missteps that seem irrevocable like the love of your life that became the one that got away aren’t written in stone. In fact, with help from sites like https://getherbackguide.com/, you can get your ex back and continue on to have a successful and long-lasting relationship. Something that proves most mistakes only have a temporary influence at most.

Mistake teach us things

Remember too, as http://www.urch.com/ suggests experience is the best teacher, and making mistakes can teach a lot about the world and ourselves. In particular, it can help us identify areas of weakness that need further work, as well as uncover our own resilience and self-compassion that allow us to move beyond the missteps that we have made and into a more proactive and positive future.

Mistakes make us human

Last, of all, bear in mind that mistakes can be helpful in life for another reason, and this is that they give you dimension as a person, and show your human side.

This is something that can make it easier to form and keep relationships, as no one wants a partner or friend that never puts a foot wrong and is wholly blameless in any disagreement! So embrace those mistakes as a part of being who you are and build on them to become the legend that you ultimately want to be.

Complete Contentment In Life Is Just 5 Small Steps Away

Pixabay:

While nobody truly knows the meaning of life, it’s safe to say that the purpose is to enjoy it. We only get a short time on this earth, and being happy is the only way to ensure that you won’t look back on it with regrets.

Many people needlessly make this pursuit of happiness overcomplicated. In truth, it’s possible to gain contentment in just five easy steps. Here’s all you need to know.

  • Help those less fortunate than yourself. Not only is it great for your karma, but it instantly provides a sense of emotional satisfaction that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. Moreover, it can be a great way to get involved in the community spirit and even encourage friends and family to join in. There are many ways that you can help. Take the time to find an idea that works for you, and you’ll never look back. If nothing else, it’ll make you feel like a more valuable person.
  • Take care of your family. It’s great to play an active role in helping others, but charity starts at home. Ensuring that your loved ones are healthy and happy should be a priority at all times. Sometimes it can be necessary to embrace the experts like those at Parc Provence to give elderly relatives the living support they need. Meanwhile, spending more time with the kids and family is sure to send your personal happiness, as well as theirs, through the roof.
  • Chase career goals. You don’t have to be the next Bill Gates to achieve happiness in business. Whether starting a business or climbing a more traditional career ladder doesn’t matter. Doing something that you feel passionate about will make you far happier in general life. After all, we dedicate far too many hours to feel anything less than satisfied in our jobs. If you can find a way of earning big money in the process, then that’s clearly a bonus.
  • Stay fit and healthy. Your body provides the foundations for everything you set to achieve in life. It also impacts your daily comfort, movement, and confidence. It’s very easy to get sidetracked by other commitments, but keeping your body in the best possible condition should not be overlooked. Gain tips from Get Healthy U and find a way of making time in your schedule for those tasks. When coupled with good nutrition, you’ll save money and feel stronger and healthier.
  • Stop worrying. Stress is the biggest happiness killer imaginable by far, and there are many genuine sources of it. Sadly, many people make those situations far worse by getting wound up needlessly. Accepting that life can’t be perfect is important if you want to unlock inner peace and happiness. Focus on the elements that you can improve while appreciating the things that are going well. In turn, every day will feel a little brighter. If that doesn’t signify contentment, what does?

Essentially, learn to appreciate the simple joys of life, and happiness will be assured. In many cases, this will encourage the other factors to follow.

Do Unto Others: Happiness in Helping

https://unsplash.com/photos/cAtzHUz7Z8g

Helping other people is the noblest of causes. Taking time out of your day to help friends, family, and strangers is something that we all tell ourselves we will do, but so few of us actually do. But the opportunities are out there, no matter where in the world you may live.

There are a plethora of options available for those who want to do more to help their fellow humans. Enriching other people’s lives will help them, as well as yourself. The positive effect that philanthropy has on our mental health is well documented, and so, in a world awash with inequality, doing your part to aid the less fortunate is something that will benefit everybody.

SOCIAL WORK

Going into the world of social care is an admirable endeavour. Often, you are working with those who have mental health problems, the poor, and sometimes the dangerous. Before starting, it is wise to look into obtaining an online MSW, to adequately prepare you for what many believe to be a thankless occupation.

Only, it isn’t a thankless occupation. There will be times where you get screamed at, called names and generally treated not very nice. But keeping your head up and knowing that you are doing this for the greater good is a reward all in itself.

VOLUNTEERING

Work for free, are you mad? No, actually, not at all. Volunteering can be done anywhere, anytime, whether it be at an animal shelter, homeless shelter or ever travelling abroad to build a school in a third world country.

Sure, you don’t get paid, but that isn’t the point. You are in this to help others, not boost up your bank account. You can find local or worldwide volunteering networks online with a quick search and start to give back. Along the way, you might be surprised at what wonderful, interesting people you meet and gain a broader perspective of the world. While you may not be rich in cash, your wealth will be overflowing with good vibes and experience.

DONATIONS

If you don’t have the time to volunteer or obtain a new qualification, you can always find the time to donate to local or national causes. Organisations such as charities are the obvious option, but also consider food banks and clothing donations.

Furthermore, you can set up payment plans to donate to wildlife or environmental conservation, as well as medical research to battle the most devastating of diseases. It doesn’t matter where you donate to, as long as you do it. Although, some charities are less transparent than others, so it pays to do your research and ensure your money is going where you want it to.

The happiness to be found in helping others is unlike any other sort of happiness in life. Taking just a bit of money out each week to help save the planet or those in need, donating old clothes that otherwise would rot in the attic, or going that extra mile to engage and support are all admirable. You have been gifted with a good life; it’s not too much to ask to help make someone else’s life just as good, also.

Strong On The Outside But Crumbling Inside: Dealing With Your Demons

You can’t remember the last time you woke up, looked at yourself in the mirror and liked what stood before you. You see a drawn, unhealthy, sad specimen in front of you and you’ve lost track of how you got to this point. Everyone has their bad days, but you’re battling something much deeper. You’re an addict and you don’t know how to escape from the tiny person inside your mind which makes you carry out these harmful habits. Addiction is not easy to fight and it can be a contributing factor to depression and mental illness. Once you have dug yourself into a deep, dark hole it can take a while to climb out. Please don’t punish yourself as you are not alone. Start by addressing your problem and take the initial steps towards recovery.

Start Small

When you are an addict, attempting to recover even the smallest things can seem like the biggest mountain. Set yourself small and achievable goals each day that will help you get up and running. It may be that you struggle getting out of bed in a morning. Why not challenge yourself with the task of getting up and taking a shower? Reward yourself and be proud when you achieve each step and try not to turn to the crutch of the substance that you often rely on so heavily. When you have tackled your smallest battles you can start to aim a little higher. Take a walk in the fresh air with a friend or call up a family member that you have neglected recently. You will find that these little changes will help you on your path to rehabilitation.

Image

Talk, Talk and Talk Some More

Keeping your feelings and problems locked up tight in a box inside your body will not be beneficial to your health or wellbeing. Find someone you trust and approach them for a chat. It might be someone who you live with or maybe a professional councillor who can hear you out. It is true when they say a problem shared is a problem halved, so speak up and don’t be afraid to put your feelings out there. People will be willing to listen and help will soon follow suit.

Find The Help You Need

Once you have spoken to someone about your addiction you will be on the path to recovery, Remember to take every piece of advice you’re given even if it seems like a tricky thing to tackle. You may need to go to one of the many successful detox centers in your area. There will be people on hand here which specialise in helping addicts to recover. This is one of the bravest things you can do, so if you find yourself checking in, you have already overcome a huge hurdle.

Someone is always on your side, no matter what the demons inside your body are telling you. Try to tune them out and get on board with the people that truly care about you. Everyone wants to see you thrive and you deserve to live the happiest and healthiest life you can. You only get one life, so take the chance to regain it while you can.

Dealing With The Ticking Alzheimer’s Bomb

It’s never easy when a loved one receives an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. While the disease doesn’t receive as much recognition as it deserves, few other diagnoses can tear a family apart like this.

But, as with any illness, it’s essential to tackle the issue head-on. The chances are that, by the time a medical confirmation is reached, the condition is relatively severe. It may start with small moments of forgetfulness. But, most don’t receive a conclusive diagnosis until things have gone far past that point.

Hopefully, though, your loved one is still lucid enough to express their wishes. Hence, you can ensure you’re giving them the best care, and deal with things the way they want you to. While it will be a difficult time, the aftermath of the diagnosis is crucial. The chances are that you don’t have a great deal of time until things get worse. So, you should consider the following as soon as you can.

Covering the costs

Sadly, with an illness like this, you need to be practical. So, the first thing you and your loved one should discuss is how you plan to deal with the costs. For the most part, this involves long-term care and even nursing homes down the line. There will inevitably come a stage when it’s no longer feasible for them to live at home. And, by that stage, they won’t be in a position to make sound financial decisions. So, you need to talk about it straight away and learn as much as you can, while you can.

First, ask about medical insurance. If they’re on a specialized plan, find out if it would cover the costs needed. But, if they’re on a standard medicare plan, you may need to look at the supplements like those mentioned by this company here. A standard plan generally only covers some of the doctor’s bills and 100 days of care. Look out for a plan which offers a more long-term solution.

Making difficult decisions

And, of course, that isn’t the only complicated issue. As morbid as it sounds, it’s also worth tackling topics such as power of attorney. This ensures that, when your loved one is no longer able, you, or whoever they choose, can take control of their estate and finances. To ensure that the selected individual sticks to their wishes, encourage them to make a will. Make sure, also, to talk about their desires so that you’re all on the same page.

Spend time together

Technical stuff aside, an Alzheimer’s diagnosis is a time bomb. As it stands, there’s no escaping the explosion. So, it’s also crucial you have fun with the person in question, and make the most of the lucid time they have left. You don’t want to look back at these meetings and wish you had done more. Take them for days out, and encourage them to do things they love. Life is too short, and a diagnosis like this should prove as a stark reminder of that.

Sage Advice for Growing Old ‘Gracefully’

Growing old is often no easy thing and there are so many people telling how to do it, and how to do it right. In reality, there is no right way to grow old, and different things work for different people. Here are some tips, and things to try, not to grow old gracefully, but making the most of it. With pensions and retirement comes more free time, so you are able to try and do things that you might not have been able to ten or twenty years ago. So make the most of it!

Getting Fit

Staying fit can be difficult to do when you have a full-time job, but being retired means you have time to keep fit and keep active. This is some advice that is always given to you as you grow older, but it is something that everyone should try and do at every age. Using your body will keep it in tip-top condition for years to come, so you are able to do what you what, when you want, well into the future, and who doesn’t want to look good?

Trying New Things

Many people might be old and have lots of habits and ideas that they won’t grow out, but why not challenge yourself to trying something new? Why not try swimming if you haven’t before, or get some adrenaline rushing with a poker game? Perhaps you can try that photography class that you wanted to try when you were younger, or you could become a life drawing model? There are lots of things to get involved with now you have the time, and hopefully some more resources than you did, than when you have a young family to raise. Now you can spend money on yourself, your own interests, and do as you please, without answering anyone.

Covering Your Bases

Now, so much strange advice and propaganda is marketed toward the older generation, and while you don’t have to start planning your own funeral  just yet, it’s good to be smart about these choices. Looking after yourself, and even your partner, can require some difficult decisions and swallowing your pride at times. If you think you might need a medical alert system, like Alert-1 for example, or you  just want to be on the safe side, invest in one. If a mobility scooter or walking stick might be of use to you, get one! There are so many things to make your life easier and safer to live, so if something might be of use to you, there’s no harm in trying it out.

Spending Time With the Family

This is an obvious one, but if you have more time on your hands, this is great time to spend with your family. Appreciating your loved ones is one of the best pastimes out there.

Growing old gracefully can be done in lots of different ways. It’s a time to grow, challenge yourself, and try new things. All the best for the adventures you’re yet to have!

Taking Away The Object Of Your Stress

In the USA, stress is becoming one of the biggest health concerns the country has to face. With over 75% of adults experiencing high-levels of stress on a regular basis, it’s easy to see why this is a worry for the government. Impacting educations and careers, it’s a good idea to locate the source of this issue, removing it as soon as you can. To help you out, this post will be exploring some of the most common causes of stress in the modern world.

First, though, it’s a good idea to think about the damage which stress can cause. Being stressed all the time will almost certainly raise your blood pressure, putting your organs under greater pressure than they are supposed to take. Emotionally, depression is often the result of people ignoring their stress. By removing this part of life, you will give yourself the chance to enjoy a world free from anxiety.

Understanding how you’re going to get rid of stress is going to take some very intense introspection. You will need to consider the area which is causing your issues, while also identifying some ways to get rid of it. Below, you can find some examples of the most common stress causes in normal life, along with the ways you can remove them.

  • Money: Most people’s biggest worry in normal life is the money they earn and spend. You will never be able to predict every issue you face and will need to have a good plan in place if you want to avoid this being worrisome. Having a strategy to follow will make it a lot easier to feel confident in yourself.

  • Work: Next up on the list of stressful things, work is something which makes around 80% of people feel anxious, and can be very hard to master. Working in a job you enjoy will take away most of this concern. Like your money, though, a plan for when things go wrong will make it a lot easier to recover from setbacks.

  • School: A lot of people scoff at the idea of students being genuinely busy when they’re going about their work. Of course, though, university life isn’t exactly a bed of roses. The single most effective way to make this easier for yourself is by completing your work as soon as you get it. Deadlines will only be scary when you don’t have time to meet them properly.

  • Your Car: Finally, as the last area to consider, your car is very similar to a ticking time bomb. As you use it, it will slowly degrade and will need to have the odd auto repair here and there to make sure that it stays in good shape. Losing this element of your life will be very hard when you’re relying on it to take you to work.

This post should give you all of the inspiration you need to start removing the stressful areas of your life. A lot of people neglect this sort of work, choosing to live with the issues anxiety can bring. This is a shame, though, as the work you have to do to fix this is very little, and the benefits are so huge.

Are You Putting Yourself At Risk By Doing These Things Every Day?

Many people don’t realize that the habits they form and do every day can seriously impact their lives – either in a good or a bad way. Most of the time, little habits can seem innocent enough, but in reality they are wasting your precious time on this earth and distracting you from what’s truly important.

Take stock of your life and ask yourself whether you do these things every day. If you do, then it could be time to stop:

Hydrating With Caffeine

Many people start their day off with a cup of coffee, and if studies are anything to go by, a couple of cups in the morning is nothing to be concerned about. In fact, coffee in small amounts has the potential to be good for you. That being said, drinking coffee well into the afternoon can easily disrupt your sleeping pattern – switching to something caffeine free is a better idea. It’s important to remember that lots of other things contain caffeine too, from fizzy drinks to chocolate. Make sure you’re limiting your caffeine intake, or you could find yourself restless and anxious. Drink plenty of water and other non-caffeinated beverages too!

image

Spending Countless Minutes/Hours Online

Spending too much time online is not good for us. If you work online, then there isn’t much you can do, but you should make an effort to get away from the computer and spend time outdoors if you can. Take regular breaks, and don’t sit in front of the screen for too long. This is another thing that can mess with our natural circadian rhythm, as well as cause untold amounts of stress. Don’t live your life online and make sure you interact with real people instead.

Driving Dangerously

There are many road accidents every day, all over the world. Many of which could have easily been avoided. If you’re casually checking your phone while driving, changing CDs, or taking your eyes off the road at all for any reason, you are driving dangerously. If you’re driving too fast, or even too slow, this is also driving dangerously. Driving without indicating, driving without making sure your car is fit to drive, all of these things amount to dangerous driving. You owe it to yourself and other road users to pay attention at all times, and make sure your car is fit for the road. While there are companies like Morris James Personal injury Group who specialize in helping after an auto accident, you don’t want it to get that far. Make sure you drive safely, and you won’t have to worry. Everybody thinks that it won’t happen to them, until it does.

Getting Up And Going To Bed At Different Times

Another one about your natural body clock and circadian rhythms. If you’re getting up and going to bed at different times, as well as snoozing your alarm, you’re wreaking havoc with your body’s natural rhythm. You should be getting up at very similar times each day, as well as going to bed at very similar times. You’ll get into a natural pattern this way, and you should fall asleep easier and even be able to get up without an alarm. You just need to ensure you’re consistent, and do this on weekends too. You’ll never feel fully rested if you fail to do this. Sleep is crucial, and less than 6 hours a night is as bad as having none at all. We should all be getting at least 7-8, although the actual amount can vary based on factors like age and activity level.

Indulging In Obvious Bad Habits

There are the obvious bad habits, such as drinking and smoking that you should avoid too. Drinking once in a while may not be so bad, but drinking too much too often is a huge risk on your body. Organs already have big jobs to do, without you putting poison into your body on top of this.

Reacting To Situations Without Thinking

When you react to a situation without thinking, you can easily cause more problems for yourself in the long run. For example, a problem with a colleague or even a family member. Do your best to stay mindful at all times, and think before you react.

Ignoring Small Issues Until They Get Worse

Small issues, such as niggling back pain or constant headaches, for example, can get worse until you end up seriously hurting yourself or ending up in hospital. It’s a good idea to have these things seen to as quickly as possible. Even if you think it’s nothing, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
