Technology And The Workplace

Pexels

In the last few decades, we have all seen technology creep into every part of our lives, and the workplace is no different. Whether you run a business or are just an employee, you should always be looking for ways to make the most of tech in your role. This could cover a broad range of areas and so we are going to take a look at some of the way the digital landscape could be beneficial to you.

Productivity

There is an old saying that it is better to work smarter rather than harder, it can be used as a joke but when it comes to productivity it is actually a good philosophy. The reason for that is the smarter your working environment is, the more likely it is that you are going to produce better more efficient work. And that is where technology comes in, through the use of a variety of applications and software you will be able to improve productivity across your workforce and personally. Now, that could be through cloud computing software like Vertex or apps that are designed specifically for the workplace.

  • Project Management

One of the areas of work that has been boosted exponentially by technology is project management. Through apps that have been designed specifically to assist your team with getting results with their respective projects, you can manage tasks through a single portal that is accessible by anyone you give permissions to. This means that team leaders and managers can have complete control over their team’s workload from a remote location thanks to apps like Todoist and Asana.

  • Communications

If there is one thing that gets in the way of productivity it is the role communications plays in our workforce. While email has been a time-saver compared to the more traditional methods, it can still slow down the process of getting a task complete. Likewise the endless meetings and telephone calls that have become a regular fixture in the working calendar. That is why apps like Basecamp and Microsoft Teams are so useful, it allows you to set up chat groups and instant messaging services so your teams can be in constant communications or use video chat for meetings instead of organising time away from the desk.

Security

Another area of working life that needs to be helped by ever-evolving technology is that of security. It is fair to say that the business world has seen a range of new threats that have arisen as a result of moving towards digital working spaces. However, the answers are also through using technology and shouldn’t be ignored. The only way to be confident that you can combat the rise of cyber crime is by having a comprehensive strategy to fight against it.

The previously mentioned cloud systems can be incredibly helpful in preventing cyber crimes, but so too is just ensuring you have a strong antivirus and firewall system installed. Educating your staff in the threats that could arrive in their inbox is also an absolute must and but using combative software first and foremost is the best route to take.

Improving Project Processes

Project management can be challenging. You have to tackle different budgets, timelines, goals, and team members. This highlights why it is so important to get your project processes right. This is something you will have learned a lot about during project management training. If your processes are not efficient and effective, you are going to struggle to meet your deliverables. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the different ways you can improve your project processes.

https://pixabay.com/en/student-typing-keyboard-text-woman-849828/

–    prioritize more effectively – One of the most important things you need to do as a project manager is prioritize effectively. If your desk is cluttered and you have a schedule that is bursting at the seams and impossible to achieve, this is where you are going wrong. Start by clearing your desk and then use calendar software to prioritize your tasks effectively. After all, not all tasks are going to have the same level of urgency or importance.

–    Communicate with your team – A lot of project management teams have fallen apart because they have not communicated with one and other effectively. One of the best ways you can enhance your processes is by speaking with your team. Make sure you involve yourself in all elements of the process. This does not mean you should micromanage. Simply checking in is more than enough. There are lots of tools you can use to communicate today, for example, Slack and Trello. You can also integrate and automate these tools so that they work seamlessly and efficiently.

–    Ensure your team has the right tools for the job – You and your team are never going to be able to reach the high standards you expect if you do not have the right tools for the job. This can be anything from collaborative software to telematics. You can read up on the meaning of telematics if you need more information. After all, you wouldn’t play tennis without a tennis racket would you? The same can be said when it comes to any type of project in the workplace. You need to make sure that your team has all of the tools that are required for success.

–    Never stop learning – You are addressing your processes today, but this should not be the last time you do so. You need to continue evaluating your work so you can see where you have got things right and where improvements need to be made. The best project managers are those who never stop learning and they are not afraid to hear feedback that isn’t favourable because they view it as a learning opportunity.

If you follow the tips that have been suggested above, you should experience some noticeable differences with regards to the performance and the efficiency of your project management team. From communication to securing the right tools, there are many elements that come together to ensure project teams are performing as effectively as they should be.

Jack-of-all-Trades

When you’ve been working for yourself for a little while, you soon come to realise that doing your job is just half the battle. Since setting up on your own you’ve become an accountant, marketing guru, sales representative and errand do-er. What you might also find yourself having to face, is the prospect of carrying out HR duties on top of all that.

How to automate Adwords optimizations was one thing, when it came to becoming a Ninja-like marketing expert, taking on the hiring and firing of staff seems like an altogether greater challenge. And yet, it can be done, and you can be the one to learn to do it. We take a look at some of the skills, tips and tricks you’ll need to take your business to the next level when it comes to taking on, training and getting the most out of staff.

Hiring

When it comes to interviewing and hiring staff the real secret is simply being organised and doing enough research into your job role and person specification that you know exactly who’s going to be a great fit. With those two elements firmly in your mind and clearly communicated in your job advertisement you’ll have your pick of dream candidates queueing up at your door. Be open-minded and look for personalities that give a little added value to your position.

Managing

No one said you’d make a natural manager but if you’ve had a boss in the past, chances are you have a good working idea of what works and what doesn’t.

There’s a difference between a good manager and a great manager and that difference is the desire to see your staff grow and exceed even above their own expectations in the role you’ve placed them in. When you realise that your staff are indeed your greatest asset, you’ll find better and more relevant ways of investing in them, whether through external training courses or in-house schemes.

A great manager has good communication at the heart of everything they do whether that’s issuing clear and precise instruction or explaining the corporate goals of the organisation, your communication skills will act as a gateway for two-way conversation and set a great example.

Managing people is as much about your qualities as a leader as it is about their ability to do the job. A great leader will make time to listen to employees and take on board any suggestions without it damaging their ego or pride when a great suggestion is put forward. Instead a great leader will recognise an employee’s achievements and adequately reward them for it.

Firing

There are times, of course, when you will need to let staff go and that can be tough. Before you go to the ultimate act of terminating their employment there are several steps you’ll need to take first before you can fire them. You will need to have a frank and honest talk with your employee about their performance and flag up your concerns. Then you’ll need to get some kind of performance improvement plan in place with clear goals and a timeline that sets out what kind of changes they’ll need to make to their working practice and by when.

Only after you’ve given them every chance to show a marked improvement and they’ve failed to live up to their side of the agreement can you go down the dismissal route.

While it’s tough for an employee there are times when it’s necessary and as a manager you’ll need to spend some time figuring out what went wrong and ask yourself if you made a bad hire or if there were external reasons for the decline in performance. Learning lessons is a vital part of the process and will help you avoid making the same mistakes in future.

Like marketing, PR and selling, your HR skills can be learnt, honed and polished with a mixture of research, practice and experience. No one said setting up on your own would be easy and you might not have expected that you’d be taking on so many more skills, but you have and what an achievement.

Read around your favourite business and lifestyle bloggers to get the best advice and ideas on how to be an effective leader. With just a little practice, you’ll soon see your business grow from strength to strength with a great team behind you who share your vision and business goals and who flourish under your great leadership.

Guide To Healthcare IT Project Management

There is no denying that healthcare IT projects are on the rise. There are a number of different reasons why this is the case. In recent years, there have been many data breach attacks on healthcare businesses. The reason this industry has been targeted is because a lot of medical centres and businesses have been using outdated systems. Because of this, a lot of projects involving cyber security are taking place. There are also projects that deal with moving healthcare businesses forward in terms of implementing new software and technologies. With that being said, in this blog post, we are going to take a look at hiring IT teams to handle projects in the healthcare sector.

https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2015/07/17/22/43/student-849822__340.jpg

The fast pace of business development in both healthcare and IT

Recent research has indicated that project managers in the IT and healthcare sector are struggling to keep up with the pace of business development, and this is resulting in project failures. The findings indicate that effective project management is the key to unlocking success in the IT industry specifically, which could result in us seeing a rise in project management courses and project management apprenticeships. Read on to discover everything that you need to know about it.

The statistics you need to know about

A recent survey conducted by Axelos has revealed that almost one-third of IT projects are at risk of failure. This represents £254.3 billion of losses in regards to turnover, which is quite a startling and worrying statistic. The survey involved interviewing 500 project leaders, and 76 per cent of those surveyed stated that projects have become more challenging to deliver because of the more competitive environment we find ourselves in due to the current economic climate. Project failure is something no business can afford, but this is especially the case in the healthcare sector whereby downtime is simply not an option.

The survey also revealed that almost three-quarters of project leaders stated that their project timelines and budgets have become a lot tighter over the past year. A similar portion also stated that stakeholders are now demanding greater value for less outlay. It is, therefore, little surprise that 48 per cent of project managers also stated that their profit margins have lowered over the past 12 months. Furthermore, half of those interviewed said they face challenges in finding the right people to resource for their projects, 55 per cent said they have to deal with business practice evolutions, which make projects more complicated. And, 58 per cent of those surveyed said that risk has increased because of the change in business.

Getting the right help

It is quite clear to see that in order to achieve business growth, healthcare firms need to focus on improving their approach to IT projects. Outside assistance from experts come highly recommended, and this is something you can discover more about at http://thinkwgroup.com/. The survey also indicated that we cannot simply blame external factors for the increasing incidence of project failure. There is also a clear indication that processes aren’t robust enough, especially those relating to skills and resourcing. 65 per cent of project leaders state that project delivery is demanded in much less time than before, however, they aren’t benefiting from on-going skills training. Only 12 per cent of employers provide project leaders with budgets for continued learning, and only 35 per cent of those interviewed said that employee numbers have increased. Training existing employees in IT matters is likely to be inefficient for most healthcare firms, which is why outsourcing talent in this regard is the best route to go down.

All in all, it is quite clear to see the importance of project management when it comes to the success or failure of a business. It is also evident where we are going wrong at the moment. We are expecting project teams to achieve much more in less time, and we are expecting them to do this in more a complex economic environment. Despite this, we are not giving them the tools they need to succeed. We aren’t investing enough in project management training, nor or we hiring the personnel that is required to take projects forward. By making these changes, we can expect to see businesses grow and take great strides forward.

As A Boss, It’s Wise To Make Things Easier For Yourself

Pexels

If you’re the owner of a business, no matter how large or small, you’ve likely noticed that you have plenty of things to do. The life of a boss is a busy one, and they must not only be technically proficient, but a leader, someone who can look to the future. They must also be someone who can read accounts, keep customers happy, continue to stay updated with the times, understand what makes good branding and promotion, and how to engage repeat business.

A boss must also ensure they know how to treat people, but also see the best in people, and to hire people worth trusting. This responsibility alone could take up many business instruction manuals, and we know that because it has. So, we have confirmed that the leaders of business have plenty to do, just in case you weren’t 100% certain about this statement validity. We might define ourselves in this role as suffering with the weight of all these responsibilities. But does taking on more tasks make you a better boss? Or does it just limit how flexible and attentive you can be?

Well, it depends how you balance your workday. As a boss, it’s wise to make things easier for yourself. So long as you are able to take care of the following advice, this needn’t feel like you’re skirting your responsibilities:

Outsource Well

When running a business, particularly a small business, you’re simply never going to be able to take care of all the duties you need to take care of in one fell swoop. You will need to outsource, but it’s important to outsource the most appropriate responsibilities. For example, utilizing master data management could save you plenty of time when arranging the informational architecture of your business. Outsourcing can also help you balance your books perfectly in the early days with the specialist use of an accountant.

Some responsibilities might also just be worthwhile no matter how large you grow as a business. In the early days, you might simply clean your office yourself each day. But investing in the cost of a cleaning service can truly ensure that employees come to work bright and early, refreshed and satisfied with their surroundings. Outsourcing well can be worth its weight in gold, and truly take the weight from your shoulders. Just be sure to keep referring to the most appropriate professional services from the offset, because you never know quite what could be useful.

Delegate Authority

No business works if you find it difficult to delegate authority correctly. The sentiment ‘if you want a job doing right, do it yourself’ might be true when you’re huffing and puffing about how no one has taken the trash out back home, but at work, you need to sustain a thoroughly collaborative and communicative environment. For example, a public official cannot run their office unless they trust their team to enact their orders and policy decisions.

If you trust the job to others, you’d be surprised as to how much your employees try to respond in kind by achieving well within their role. It’s better to give your staff more freedom than less. We might think of giving our support staff some creative control in how they deal with a situation instead of being bound to a script when answering calls. We might give our hired graphic design contact to contribute some of their own designs (well compensated) as well as the main job you have hired them for. This might help you come to a new direction none of your expert staff had attained, but is thoroughly suitable. On the small scale, it might be trusting your trainee salon worker to give a haircut to a regular and prove what you have taught them, or perhaps upgrading an assistant chef to another, more complex kitchen station.

The more you can automate progress while also ensuring that important authority is given to enact positive changes, you will notice your team flourishing under this kind of trust, and you will likely feel your leadership becoming more competent.

Habits Of A CEO

When trying to figure out how to demonstrate solid leadership qualities, it’s tempting to do a quick Google search. This is no doubt where you’ll start to come across many ‘habits of a CEO’ advisory posts that are both vague and somewhat useful at the same time. So let us construct the ultimate advice in this vein to help you avoid that kind of search.

CEO’s read. Not just about business, but about a range of other topics. Autobiographies and biographies of those that inspire them. Side reading around the trends of the industry, and how to understand various factors in the long term. Books that detail large business cases that failed, or perhaps those that came from nothing to massive success. Reading should be an essential part of your day, not just for the content you absorb, but the cognitive development it promotes.

Keeping yourself in good shape will also help your mind throughout the day, and it will help you express the stress you’re not doubt going to feel. Meditation can help you reflect and feel more present, which in turn allows your subconscious mind work in your favor throughout the day. Eating well will also grant you more energy, helping you better navigate those long hours of the day.

These habits might seem like just simple tidbits of advice, but often, that which makes your day easier is how you make your responsibilities feel easier. It’s amazing how a massive presentation at noon can feel much less scary when you’ve had a light jog, healthy breakfast and meditative time to come to your mind in the morning. Sometimes, it’s the fundamental human needs that can make our job easier for ourselves.

With these tips, you are not only sure to get rid of the unusual and boring dead weight of being a boss, but feel more and more present in your job.

Households Tips That Work In Your Business Too

Without pretending that your business is a second home, it’s fair to say that some of the household strategies you adopt at home to keep your environment clean and healthy can be safely repurposed in the workplace. In fact, if businesses were to treat the office as an extension of the home, employees would feel a lot more at ease in the work environment!

What kind of household tips are suitable for your company? Let’s clarify things from the start. Your home offers shelter to a small collectivity of individuals. Green and healthy lifestyle decisions affect both the household budget and the collective health of the family. When you translate the same situation in the business world, eco-friendly and health-conscious strategies can also drive the company expenses and employees satisfaction.

Energy efficiency: Start at home and expand in the workplace

Making your home energy efficient is a priority in today’s world. Not only can relying on traditional energy structures and solutions drain your household budget, but it can also affect the environment, which puts your health at risk. The solutions you can apply in the house, such as implementing solar panels and educating your family to a green behavior, can work in the office too. While it’s unlikely for small businesses to be able to generate all their electricity through solar panels, it can make a significant difference in the long term. Additionally, you don’t need much to introduce eco-friendly policies in the workplace. Simple rules such as turning off devices when they’re unused can go a long way.

Reducing humidity in the air

Air humidity at home can lead to mold patches and respiratory discomfort. However, controlling the moisture in the indoor air can be challenging without specialized ventilation and air monitors. However, you can use natural solutions to remove the excess humidity in your home. Houseplants can make a significant difference in bathroom areas, for instance. Old structures are more likely to struggle with air and moisture infiltration, which can be controlled by removing leaks – you should get in touch with roofing companies for your business every 20 years, for instance – and adding humidity-absorbing plants to the office decor.

Going chemical free everywhere

As more and more households are making their own cleaning products to reduce the presence of harmful chemicals at home, professional cleaning companies have started to offer similar services to their commercial clients. Eco-friendly cleaning products sanitize surfaces just as effectively as chemical products, making the green and chemical-free movement a popular alternative. From universities to offices, chemical-free solutions offer a sustainable answer to hygiene in the workplace.

Yes, you should have a fruit bowl

Countless of lifestyle blogs and experts recommend keeping a fruit bowl in the kitchen. The idea is to encourage the household to make healthier snacking decisions with an elegant display. The same principle can also apply to the kitchen office. Regular deliveries of fresh and seasonal fruits keep your staff healthy by ensuring they have nutritious alternatives to the typical chocolate bar or cookie.

A green and healthy business starts at home. It’s only by developing positive habits within the household that you can get to understand and appreciate what it takes to build an eco-friendly workplace.

How To Grow Your Business In One Year

Some of you might really be struggling with this conception at the minute, and it’s one of the reasons why we want to talk to you. Growing your business is something that’s either going to happen really easily for you, or it’s going to be something that you find yourself pulling your hair out over… every single day. Because what do you soon learn about business and the way it works? It’s that if your business isn’t growing, then something must really be going wrong somewhere down the line. This is the common thought that so many company owners have, we just know it is. Because growth also signals profit, and profit is also the one thing that company owners are looking to brag about. So if you’re going to try and grow your business in one year, you’re going to have to try and think about ways that you can grow your business at a bit of a rapid rate, and there’s only one reason why we’re going to push for this. Because we know that if your business is growing at a super slow rate, you’re going to suffer both mentally and physically. It’s so easy to let your worries get in the way of actually running your business. Not only that, but as the months go by, you’ve still got people who are creating the same sort of business as you, trying to do what you’re doing! So, here are our top tips on how we think you can grow your business in one year!

Start At The Bottom

If you want to grow your business, you really are going to have to start at the bottom, and work your way up to the point where you feel confident that you know everything about your business. If you know everything about your business, and you focus on the way that it works and what makes it function, you’ll gain a better understanding of what your business needs to keep moving forward. You wouldn’t believe the amount of business owners who just don’t have the first clue about what actually goes on in the day to day running of their company, especially the ones that are a little more established with their own employees. And do you want to know who are the first to complain about this, the employees who are on the front line, trying to do all they can to do their job with little guidance, only negative criticism. Even if your business isn’t like this, we just thought we would open your eyes to the issue, so that hopefully your business never becomes this! But when starting at the bottom, it also gives you a chance to go through your business with a fine comb, and think about how you can change the areas of your business that need it the most. You might be able to compare your marketing efforts to your competitors, and step up your game. You might be able to re-evaluate your prices that you charge, make a better price, and bring in more customers through that route. The possibilities are endless when you really get thinking about what your business is doing wrong at that time.

Change Your Tactics

You might definitely need to change your tactics, and a lot of that will come from going through your business, and starting with the basics like we listed above. But there are some tactics that you won’t have thought about changing before, and these are the ones that we think will make a real difference. The biggest tactic that we want you to change, is your sales tactic and how you engage with the customers that you have. So many companies get this wrong, and it really does reflect when trying to push for growth. You have to be that company that masters the art of being in someone’s face, as well as letting the customer come to them. It’s all about subtle marketing and sales techniques. One a month email marketing to bring customers in, or at least keep your company fresh in their mind. Then, when they do buy a product, you’re going to have to develop a system that recognises if they’re a returning customer from some time ago, and offer them a discount. It’s the best way to keep returning customers interested for longer. The same goes for a new customer. If you receive good quality service, a great product, and a discount at the end of it, that company instantly sticks in your mind, and it’s going to be so much easier to make money from those customers who were just so delighted with their experience.

Think Of The People Who Mean The Most

The people who mean the most to your company, are often the ones that spend their time getting ignored the most. Their views are inferior to yours, and that’s the way it goes with most companies . You wouldn’t believe the amount that have absolutely terrible reviews when it comes to their employees and how they treat them. But you have the chance to be different, and you have the chance to talk to your employees who will most likely know the way that your business runs better than you. They’re the ones doing all of the manual work, and finding all of the struggles of the working day. The struggles of the working day are the things that could easily help to grow your business. They highlight the issues your company is having, and how you can streamline the working day to get more done. Not only that, but you really need to look after them in other ways too. Many companies don’t offer privileges such as telehealth, which is a comprehensive package that you could introduce. It’s a little perk that gives your employees excellent level of healthcare paid for, which can really get expensive for your employees over the year. It just makes the role so much more attractive, and allows you to attract better employees to work with you!

Quick Growth Tactics

If you’re looking for a quick growth tactic because you really are in a struggle, and you feel like your finances are on the low side, then there are a few things that might work in your favour. The first, is to push a ton of money into the marketing side of things, especially into doing something like an event or conference. The exposure you’ll get from things like this will just be so good, and you’re showing your business in the best light that you possibly can. You’ll interact with people that you might not have been able to before, and you should be able to watch your sales sky-rocket. Other than you, you can also try all of the other marketing techniques that are available, but make sure you’re increasing your spending on them. The more you put in with a reliable and top end companies and the more you’re going to get out of it!

Looking Out For The Pitfalls

There are definitely some pitfalls that you need to look out for when it comes to trying to grow your business, and the top is the money one. It can be easy to get carried away with trying to invest the most into your business, but get nothing out of it! Make sure you’re always in touch with a financial advisor to guide you before you make any big investment ideas, whether it be money you’re putting into your business, or money that you’re taking out of it!

Is Your Business The Kind People Want To Work For?

Credit

In business, you spend so much of your time trying to make sure that customers and other people in the public will approve of it, that it is all too easy to forget about the people inside it too. Actually, these people are possibly even more critical in many ways, and you need to make sure that you are keeping them as happy as possible at all times. One of the most important reasons that you need to do this is because you need to know that you are always going to be able to hire people to work for you. So, as it currently stands, is your business one that people will generally want to work for? And if not, do you know what you might need to do to try and make it so? Let’s look at some of the steps you could take to do just that.

Make It Safe & Secure

Your employees need to know that they are safe and secure when they work for you, and this is probably what takes precedent above all else in fact. Of course, there are many things you will be able to do to make sure that you are keeping your business safe and secure, and so long as you are doing those, you will find your employees are happy with that. This is as simple as getting a security team in house, making sure you carry out cctv installation whenever necessary, and generally taking whatever steps you can to keep out intruders. But it’s also about preventing the likelihood of fire and other disasters, which in turn means training your staff themselves to be able to deal with that. It’s pretty involved, but it’s necessary to ensure that your staff are happy working for you.

Pay Them Well & Fairly

Pay is obviously a hugely important thing for all workers, and you have a duty to make sure that you are paying your people as well as you can afford to. You need to of course pay them at least a minimum wage, but you should aim to pay them more than that if you can and to give them a pay raise at least once a year. You will also need to make sure that you are paying them fairly, which means equally for the same job, same experience level and no matter who they are. As well as being a moral and legal responsibility, it is also essential in keeping them happy. By paying well, you will encourage others to want to work for you in the future, so it is in your own best interests too.

Be A Responsible Business

Generally, people also want to know that the business they are working for is a socially responsible one. That means that you have schemes in place to be as environmentally friendly as possible, that you are socially aware, and that you are acting in a manner which is fair and good for society. If people feel that you are doing that, they will be considerably happier to work for you, and you will find that you have potential employees coming to your door in droves.

Marketing Strategy Tips For Your New Business

Designing a new product or service is an exciting process and you will be keen to plan an effective launch in order to reach your target market. Serious consideration is needed as to how you plan to market your business and your first priority should be to develop a marketing strategy. Effective marketing will ensure the future viability of your business. You need to get the “word” out to your target market, otherwise no one will know about the amazing product or service you have developed.

essential for success image

The most successful marketing and advertising techniques use several forms of media rather than one or two, your aim is to reach customers across the board.

This article aims to explore creative marketing strategies.

Traditional advertising

Traditionally, advertising in the press, TV and radio was the only way to get your product known to potential customers. There’s definitely still a place for these forms of advertising. TV is expensive, but many people will see your advert. If you are a small start-up business most towns have their own community magazine, which sells advertising space at reasonable cost to local businesses. This could be an effective and low cost option. Local newspapers and even a card advertising your service or product in your local shop is worth pursuing, if your business is small.

Trade fairs

If you have developed a niche product that is new and innovative you will want retailers to connect with your product enough to stock them in their shops. If you can capture the attention of large retailers your product could be stocked nationally or even internationally. Every year many trade shows are held attracting a large number of buyers within an industry, examples of such are toy fairs, gift fairs and motor home and caravanning shows. If you decide to invest in showcasing your product or service at a trade show, it is worth getting expert advice in creating a perfect  trade show display. A carefully designed trade show stand will draw potential customers in.

Online presence

With the majority of sales and communication occurring online in current markets, it is essential that you have a strong online presence with a website that features highly on internet search engines. It is worth investing in hiring  website designers  and seo experts so that your website is current, works effectively and communicates content successfully to potential customers. Making Business For Others Can Help You

First of all, creating business for other people in your own space doesn’t have to be at expense of your own company. Think of it as a symbiotic relationship: if you have your own company, one in which you need an office space and all the entrees, then you’ll be likely to branch out into hiring services to keep this area in check. You’ll need to do this for both yourself and who you’re renting your office from, if you’ve made such a contract. So what businesses can you fit into yours to successfully complement each other?

Use A Domestic Cleaning Service

Unless you work in the cleaning sector yourself, you can hire out some office cleaning services that cuts down on your own workload and ensures everything is kept up to code. Hiring a cleaning service is a great benefit to you as the business owner as it ensures the job is done properly whilst you work on your projects. It also means you don’t have to fork out for your own crew and their upkeep. You can potentially fit more time into your day after all!

It’s also a way to let people, students especially, make some extra money that they desperately need. A cleaning service, such as https://greenfacilities.co.uk/,  is one in which people learn by doing, so you can be ensured that everyone on the payroll knows what they’re doing.

Use A Printer Hiring Service

So every office needs a printer, but all the ink and paper and possible downtime can add up, especially when you don’t have the profits to keep up with it. You can start waste paper drives and keep everything in digital format, but it’s good practice to have a hard copy of everything.

Why not hire out a printer service? This can keep your own costs down with no maintenance having to be served by your own company. It also means you only have the printer when you need it, so it can be a weekly effort if necessary.

Buy Or Hire Out Some Art Pieces

So it can get boring staring at the same four walls; you can’t blame employees for stagnating slightly with no other stimulation. Having a creative art piece on your wall fills space and shows any clients coming into your office that you have a strong aesthetic for your brand. It’s also been shown to inspire employees.

Get some modern art on your wall for a nice look, whether it’s a rented piece or your own outright. If you decide to hire, it means you can rotate the pieces you have on a monthly cycle, and at no extra cost to yourself. It also means you’re supporting artists and local upcoming talent, as everyone deserves to have a bit of their art on somebody’s wall.

You’re never alone in the business world when it comes to making your own brand succeed. A whole collaborative effort can be made to present you in the best way, and show up the competition!
