Smart Ways To Get The Best Deal On Your New Car

You want a new car, and you want it to be amazing – but you also want to make sure you get the best possible deal on that car. Here, we’re going to give you a few smart ways in which you can get the best deal, so you can go shopping for your ideal motor stress-free. Take a look!

Do Your Research Before You Go

Make sure you make a list of things you want in a car, and then do your research so you can find the cars that match your criteria. You should at least have an idea of a few cars you’re interested in when you go looking in person so you can narrow down your search and avoid being swayed into buying a car that isn’t right for you.

Make sure you consider the engine size, how much space the car has, how enjoyable the drive is, comfort, safety features, and so on. All of these things will affect how you enjoy driving the car and the longevity of the car overall.

Take Somebody With You When Visiting Dealers

How much do you know about cars? Even if you know a fair bit, it could be a good idea to take another knowledgeable person when your intention is to put some cash down on a car. This doesn’t leave salespeople a lot of room to try to trick you with something that sounds like a deal but isn’t really a great deal. When looking for new cars for sale at Don Wessel Honda you can have peace of mind, as the salespeople tend to be trustworthy – but not all places are created equal. It’s also a good idea to stay calm, so you don’t have an air of desperation about you when you’re thinking of striking up a deal. If you do, many salespeople will sense it and try to get you to spend more.

Don’t Play Games

As a general rule, you’re going to get a much better deal if you’re nice, polite, and avoid playing games. Many people will tell you not to give too much away when you’re looking for cars, but if you’re really interested in buying a car, make it clear. It’s probably not a good idea to give your max budget away, but playing too many games and trying to be too slick could definitely backfire.

Don’t Be Afraid To Walk Away

As much as you want to purchase your new car and you want to purchase it now, you can’t be afraid to walk away if you’re not being offered a deal that feels right to you. More often than not, a salesperson will call you in the next few days to renegotiate. If they don’t, it’s their loss!

Using these tips and taking your time is key when you want the best deal on your new car. Do your due diligence, know what you want, take backup, and avoid playing games. Leave your own tips below!

4 Things You Should Avoid If You Want To Stay Safe On The Road

Assuming you want to stay as safe as possible on the road – and who doesn’t, right? There are a few things you really need to avoid. Letting your focus lapse for just a second or two can literally be cataclysmic, so you want to do everything you can to stop this from happening. Below you’ll find 4 things you should avoid if you want to stay safe on the road. Take a look:

  1. Getting Road Rage

You might think that you can’t help getting angry on the road, but road rage can actually be extremely dangerous. Staying calm at all times is a must if you want to improve the way that you drive. When you get angry on the road, you can lose focus, not look where you should be, and take your hands off the road. In the USA, road rage is the leading cause of accidents.

You should avoid driving if you’re already upset, and don’t leave journeys until the last minute so you end up stressed out. Don’t get out of the car to confront other drivers, either. Other drivers might get road rage, and you’ll likely be faced with a situation like this at some point. However, your main aim at this point should be to get out of their way. Don’t play games and irritate them further if they are honking while trying to get past you, for example.

image

  1. Neglecting Your Vehicle

Car maintenance can be costly and time-consuming, but you’ll spend even more time and money fixing it up if you don’t get into the habit. The main things to check are:

– Oil

– Water

– Electrics

– Tires

Set yourself a schedule that you follow monthly so you know when you need to check what. Keeping your car in great condition is the best way to reduce your risk of having an accident and having to contact a car accident lawyer to help you sort things out.

  1. Driving In Extreme Weather Conditions

Driving in extreme weather conditions should be avoided, but if you have to drive, you’ll need to take extra precautions. Stopping distances increase significantly, your visibility is reduced, and you might not feel as confident on the road. Be very mindful when getting into the car during heavy rain, snow, or ice. Take extra car, drive at a slower pace, and increase the space between you and other cars on the road. Make sure you’re alert and vigilant at all times.

  1. Having Your Phone Somewhere You Can See It

Even if you’re not directly using your phone, having it somewhere you can see it can mean getting distracted by notifications and taking your attention off the road. Even talking on a hands-free device can be distracting while you should be focused on the road. Wait until you are safely parked before picking up your phone at all. If you use your phone as a sat nav, make sure it’s all set up properly before you set off so you don’t have to touch it. You can still get in big trouble for this if you’re caught, and it’s still dangerous.

Taking Responsibility for Poor Decision Making on the Roads

We all make mistakes from time to time. But making a small mistake on the roads can have drastic and even fatal consequences. So, it’s extremely important that you take responsibility for yourself and for others’ well being by always making the right decision before getting behind the wheel and by taking constant steps to improve upon yourself as a driver. Here are a few areas to focus on.

Poor Driving

There are various things that people can do which renders them a poor driver. Maybe you have been away from the wheel for a while. You might take to the road without glasses when you need a slight prescription. You may decide to drive when you are tired or have a weakened immune system. Each of these decisions can have potentially drastic negative effects for you and other road users. But there are steps that you can take to improve your driving. If you feel a little rusty, consider a few accompanied drives with a driving instructor. Always leave a pair of glasses in your car and never take to the wheel without them. Have a rest before long journeys. Take public transport if you feel unwell.

Driving Under the Influence

Driving under the influence is illegal for good reason. Drink and drugs are substances which significantly inhibit your behaviour and your decision-making abilities. By driving while under the influence you put yourselves and others at risk. If you are charged with DUI, you will need to seek legal help. A representative will survey your case and determine what is the best course of action for you to follow. If you face prison time, community service, or fines, you need to comply with these. Once time has been served or you have paid your fine, you can put the incident in the past and learn from it. You should also sincerely consider undertaking some sort of therapy or counseling that will help to prevent you from making this poor decision in the future.

Ignoring Issues With Your Vehicle

Many of us ignore seemingly minor issues with our vehicle. We will turn a blind eye to warning lights on our dash and convince ourselves that we will rectify problems later. But you need to tackle issues with your vehicle head on. Book in with a garage as soon as you notice a problem. Driving a vehicle that has problems can prove extremely dangerous, so you need to take on the responsibility of having it repaired as soon as possible!

These are just a few areas to focus on for now. What’s most important is that you always take responsibility for your own actions when taking to the roads!

3 Mishaps To Avoid For A Happy Healthy Holiday

As we stifle a turkey and stuffing flavored burp and hit the treadmill to make up for our over-indulgence this Thanksgiving, and nurse the bumps and bruises we’ve picked up in the unfettered and lamentably violent rugby scrum that is the Black Friday sales, it’s only natural for our thoughts to turn to Christmas. While the festive time is the most wonderful time of the year for many, it still has its seasonal woes and a unique set of risks that we must all sidestep in order to be as happy and healthy as possible over the holidays. As any boy scout knows, the trick to a happy and uneventful holiday season is to be prepared. As such, here we’ll look at some commonly encountered seasonal mishaps and the measures you can put in place to avoid them…

Don’t see in the new year with a DUI

Christmas is a time traditionally associated with festive indulgence. While for many of us this means throwing the diet books out of the window for a few weeks and enjoying the food that they love as often as they like, unfortunately many of us will be drinking too much this season. It goes without saying that a festive attitude to alcohol and driving home do not mix. Although the kind of criminal defense detailed in the Alpert Schreyer website can protect you from harsh sentencing, these experienced attorneys will be the first to agree that prevention is the best cure. Be sure to abstain if you know that you will be driving or participate in a designated driver scheme with your friends and colleagues.

Over indulgence needn’t be unhealthy at Christmas

We have gotten into the habit of expecting a little weight gain over the holiday season. While we should absolutely enjoy the food we eat over Christmas this is not to say that we must resign ourselves to an unhealthy Christmas dinner. There are many ways in which we can cut the caloric cost of the food we love without compromising on flavor.

The traditional fare of a stuffed turkey and mountains of veggies is pretty healthy, while non-meat eaters can find a plethora of healthy vegan Christmas recipes. When we limit our intake of saturated fats, sugar and other refined carbohydrates as well as moderating our alcohol intake, we needn’t feel the guilt for our festive binge all the way through March!

Unsafe driving

Most of us will likely be spending a great deal of time on the road over the holidays and so we must ensure that both we and our vehicles are fit for purpose on the road. Take your vehicle into your local shop for a winter inspection and possibly some new winter tires. Make sure that you plan rest breaks when travelling; 15 minutes for every 2 hours at the wheel is recommended. Drink plenty of water to ensure that you’re alert and responsive and try to eschew coffee as it can cause your energy levels to spike and dip erratically throughout your journey.

Be smart and stay safe this holiday season, dear reader!

The Road Trip Of A Lifetime

Do you ever just get that urge to jump in your car with a couple of things for the day, and just drive anywhere? No? Well, we get why. Sometimes driving is just a nightmare, but that’s usually because you associate driving with going to the worst places, such as work, or sitting in traffic to go and pick the kids up. The nightmare of driving just seems to grow and grow as the years pass. But, what happens if you inject a little fun in your reasoning to go for a drive? Well, you just can’t wait to hop in the car and go and do something. We think road trips are the best thing to do when you’re looking to fill the day with random fun. Because you don’t just need to head to somewhere where you know. You could literally just go on a few twists and turns, and before you know it you could end up somewhere completely magical. So, if you need some more convincing, here’s how we think you can have a road trip of a lifetime.

Go With The Best People

There’s no point you going on a road trip and being bored out of your brains. You have to make sure you’re going with the right people if you want the right amount of fun. In our eyes, your friends are going to be the best people you can go with. They’ll allow you to let your hair down, create endless fun for the day, and you simply just might not do crazy things like this anymore. Sometimes it’s easy as friends to just meet up every so often to do the same thing, which is usually going to the pub. If you do something a little different like this, it truly will be the road trip of a lifetime, just because of the people you’re doing it with.

Never Let It Be A Fail

When you think of a road trip, you probably imagine songs blasting, laughs flowing, and the odd chime in of a satnav. Wrong. Sometimes you could have this big idea planned out in your head, but everything can go wrong. One thing we’ve noticed that happens a lot when you pile people in to a car, is that the car gets ruined. You should try and get things like all-weather floor mats, seat covers, and definitely have a no sloppy food rules. As soon as people start eating something that has a ton of sauce in it, it just seems to fly all over the car. Only dry foods, and keep drinking drinks without a top on to a minimum. You also need to make sure the car is ready for the road trip. Ensure the tire pressure is right, and there’s enough oil and coolant.

Have A Sense Of Adventure

Finally, you really do need to have a sense of adventure if you’re going to enjoy a road trip. You’ve got to not mind sitting in a car for a couple of hours, and going where the wind takes you. Or, in this case, the sat nav. If you hate going out to places you don’t know, then this definitely is not the idea for you.

How To Plan For A Family Road Trip

Planning vacations when you have kids is something that many people would consider a talent in and of itself, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re planning a short trip to visit family in the next state or if you’re flying to the other side of the world, it’s definitely something that is rather stressful – especially the actual traveling part.

However, it’s not all bad and can be made less stressful when you know how to plan ahead for it, and once you have a system in place and actually get used to traveling with your children, then you won’t really notice any major difference between that and traveling on your own.

It’s also a good idea to start traveling with children when they’re as young as possible, because this really helps them get used to it and makes them less likely to be bad or anxious travelers.

The great thing about road trips as a way of traveling with your family is that it offers a setting that can include more home comforts and is less stressful because there’s no waiting around in airports or being crammed into tiny airplane seats with children who are full of energy and losing patience.

In this post, we’ve included some useful tips to help you plan for successful family road trip.

Organize The Mode Of Transport:

Over the years, road trips have gained so much popularity all over the world for their free-spirit approach to travel, but they certainly don’t have to involve being stuck in a small car for days on end with everyone fighting over what music gets played and having to stop for bathroom breaks every hour.

Of course, you may choose to take a road trip in your car, and they can absolutely be comfortable for shorter journeys, but for a bigger vacation-style road trip, then considering an RV or motor home is something a lot of people go for, and they make for a much more comfortable and enjoyable road trip.

Have Safety Checks Carried Out On The Transport:

No matter what kind of travel you do, safety should always come first, so if you’re planning a road trip, then making sure the chosen mode of transport, whether it may a car or RV is currently in good condition that meets the latest safety standards by getting it thoroughly checked before taking off on your road trip.

Have A Clear, But Flexible Plan:

Having a plan when traveling – especially with your family if that includes children is absolutely crucial, even if it’s just for your own sanity, but it’s also important to remember that you simply cannot be in control of every little thing, so having a flexible approach to your plan that leaves room for things to be changed at short notice is key to, not only helping you stay as stress free as possible, but also to having fun, because let’s be honest – vacations are supposed to be fun and not dictated by rigid rules and plans.

Choose Your Route:

The great thing about a road trip is the massive amounts of options you have available for the routes you can take and the things that lie along the way. Of course, you’re not going to be able to see everything in the country, but picking a few landmarks that you really want to visit will help you devise the best possible route. Whether you want to go for a bucket-list road trip across Route 66, or something a bit more low-key, there are certainly no shortage of amazing things to see no matter which route you choose for your road trip.

Anticipate Issues That May Arise:

It’s very rare in general life that everything goes perfectly to plan, and this is even less so the case when traveling, so although we’re certainly not suggesting that you expect bad things to happen, it’s just good sense to be aware of some common issues that may come up when traveling through the country on a road trip.

Stock Up On Supplies:

If you’re traveling in an RV, then you’ll likely have good storage and possibly even cooking facilities, so when you’re traveling from place to place you won’t have to worry about stopping every few hours for fast food. Stocking up on key supplies, such as food, water, and even gas in case you run out is always a good idea to ensure that your road trip goes as smoothly and problem-free as possible.

Get Insurance:

When traveling anywhere, it’s always highly recommended to take out travel insurance, but when going somewhere on a road-trip, then ensuring that you have the correct car insurance or insurance for your RV is crucial, not only from a legal perspective, but for safety reasons. You can discover more about the various types of auto insurance available online.

Bring Entertainment For Children:

Whilst you may be happy simply taking in the beautiful and varied scenery along the way throughout your road trip, children – especially younger ones are not so easily entertained, so making sure you bring plenty to keep them occupied during the trip is a good idea. This can include things like bringing an iPad loaded with their favorite shows and movies, board games you can all play together, or even craft sets and coloring books and will definitely go a long way to ensuring an enjoyable and relaxing road trip for everyone involved.

Bring Your Paperwork:

Simply just having insurance and a contract for your RV is not enough, you need to make sure you have them with you just in case you do get stopped and are asked to prove anything. It could also be a good idea to bring copies of passports and birth certificates as proof of identity if ever needed. Likewise, making sure you have a clean driving record with no outstanding convictions, charges or warrants is something you should absolutely take care of because this could cause major problems during your road trip if you don’t.

Trip Tease: How To Stop A Road Trip From Being A Dud

https://giphy.com/embed/PqwqtOLfG19Ti

via GIPHY

There is nothing better than the thought of you and your friends hitting the open road. Some people even plan trips at Thanksgiving and the holidays because they love the feeling of freedom. Sitting behind the wheel and visiting every city on the map, and ones that aren’t is a special experience.

Of course, not everybody enjoys the trip as much as others. Like all vacations, there are roadblocks which you need to bypass if you’re going to have a memorable journey. Otherwise, the thought of the trip will be better than the real-life moments and that’s just a tease.

Below you’ll find a few things to consider before starting the engine.

Choose Your Traveling Buddies Wisely

Part of the trip is figuring out how to get along with your friends for the duration. Lots of BFFs fall out and argue because being cooped up all day is too much to handle. So, it makes sense to ask people who are easy going and laid back, or who like to plan stuff. Then, you can bounce off one another and get along. Also, don’t forget about their driving skills. For one thing, do they have a license? There is nothing worse than having to hold back because you’re the designated driver.

Pool Your Money

Okay, there’s no need to take out a joint bank account, but you don’t want to have more money than your friend, either. Resentment occurs when people can’t do the things they want because they don’t have enough cash. Awkward! So, instead of splitting, you can pool both funds and drive a little further before coming home. Plus, it stops the inevitable “who paid for what?” fights that break out. Because the costs are split, there is no need to argue over money or miss out on the chance of a lifetime.

Bring A Repair Kit

Sure, there is a recovery number in the glove compartment and you’ll call it when something goes wrong. There are two problems with this plan: A) they might not arrive and B) it could take ages to find your location. Considering the majority of car issues are cosmetic, you can repair them by the side of the road with the right tools. Check out www.peakhd.com for a range of antifreeze options which will get the engine going again in the winter weather. As always, a wrench, a jack, and a spare tire are essentials. See www.hagerty.com for a full list.

Screw The Plan

There will be a plan of attack, one that you’ll try to follow to the letter. However, in the true Emma Chase spirit, it’s best to leave it behind and go with the flow. By all means, stop off at the destinations which you’ve wanted to see for a while, but don’t stress about the others. Because it’s about the things that happen in between, not the destination, stopping off in small towns and villages is where you’ll have the most fun.

Don’t you think the best type of fun is spontaneous?

Cars Behaving Badly: Which Models Are Most Likely To Be Caught Speeding?

You might think that the driver of a vehicle would be to blame for speeding. But it turns out that the car itself might have something to do with it too.

Imagine this: you get up in the morning and go outside to your driveway to open up your car – a Toyota Auris with a 1.3-liter engine. You sit in the driver’s’ seat, turn on the engine and take it out onto the open road. The problem with the Auris is that it takes about 15 seconds to get up to 60 mph, and during that time, you barely feel any acceleration at all. It’s not exactly thrilling.

Now suppose that you’re driving an Audi A5 or BMW. All of a sudden, driving becomes a thrill, and before you know it, you’ve broken the speed limit.

So which cars are most likely to be caught speeding? Take a look at the following vehicles which car insurer Admiral says are most likely to be breaking the law by driving too fast.

Audi A5

Pixabay

The Audi A5 is a popular coupe in European countries, thanks to its excellent engine-management, affordable price, and performance. But it’s also one of the cars that is most likely to be caught speeding. Popular among younger male drivers, the A5 offers considerable bang for the buck.

BMW 4 Series

Flickr

According to a lawyer who understands DUI penalties, many people speed when under the influence. And that appears to be true of BMW 4 Series drivers too. The worst offending 4 Series car, according to Admiral Insurance, is the 420d. It’s not the top-of-the-range model by any means, but it’s an incredibly popular diesel variant of the ever-popular four-door saloon, and that’s why it gets caught speeding so much.

Audi Q5

Flickr

The Audi Q5 was the German manufacturer’s answer to the affordable crossover coming out of Japan over the last decade. The car, popular among parents doing the school run, is one of the highest offending cars, surprisingly. Why? Well, it might have something to do with all those local speed limits around schools which change all the time. Should drivers be going 30 or 20? It’s not always clear.

Among all Q5 models, it’s the standard version of the car that has been involved in the majority of offences. With a 3.0 litre engine that produces an impressive 349 bhp, and goes from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds, it’s not surprising that this vehicle comes near the top of the list.

The Bentley Continental

Flickr

The Bentley Continental is the car that has racked up more speeding offences than any other, according to admiral. And it’s not hard to work out why. Not only does the Bentley have incredibly high performance, but it also tends to be driven by people who want to go places quickly and have the money to pay off any fines. The Continental will accelerate effortlessly and won’t tell you that you’re driving too fast. 30 feels the same as 130 mph.

The Real Reasons You Need Car Insurance

Pixabay

It may be one of the biggest expenses that all drivers have to contend with, but there is unfortunately no way of getting out of car insurance. As a driver and car owner, you are obliged to buy an insurance policy to cover your car, even if you hardly use it. It may be an annoying part of driving, but this necessity to have insurance is in place for a reason. Read on to find out why exactly you need to have plenty of car insurance before you hit the road.

To Be Compliant With The Law

First of all, the main reason you need to take out some car insurance is so that you are compliant with the law. There will be an absolute minimum of coverage that is the legal requirement in your region. You will need at least this minimum to be compliant, but it always pays to get yourself some more if you can afford it. After all, the minimum might not be enough to cover certain accidents or maintenance. However, at least you will be covered with the minimum and so you don’t run the risk of needing to see a lawyer, such as https://blumenshinelawgroup.com, who would have to help you get an uninsured claim. So, be sure to get covered with some insurance and then you don’t have to run the risk of getting on the wrong side of the law!

Pixabay

So You Can Get A Car Loan Or Lease

If you think that you will need to loan a car, there’s a good chance that taking out insurance could be part of the rental agreement. Without taking out an insurance policy, you might not be able to loan the car in the first place. This is also the case with loans for autos as well. One of the minimum requirements from most lenders is that you put some car insurance in place. Most lenders will require you to have a comprehensive insurance policy in place as well as some form of collision coverage. That way, they know that you won’t struggle with any maintenance or repair costs as that could affect how easily you could make your rental or loan payments.

Pixabay

To Protect Your Own Finances

It’s important to understand that insurance doesn’t just protect the vehicle in question. It can also help you better protect your finances as well. If you were to cause an accident and the other driver involved were to make a claim against you, then you would have to cough up in full and pay for both of your legal fees as well as any maintenance for the other driver’s car. Thankfully, though, your insurance should cover this cost. If it doesn’t cover it in full, it should cover a substantial portion. It’s necessary to remember that your finances will only be protected if your car insurance also contains some liability insurance. If your current car insurance policy doesn’t, then you might want to look for some extra liability insurance to ensure your finances won’t be damaged in any way.

Pixabay

So That Your Vehicle Is Always Covered

Insurance will cover your vehicle in a wide range of scenarios. When we think of car insurance, we almost immediately think of it covering accidents and crashes. But that’s not all! Once you have insurance in place, it should cover your vehicle in the event of most other kinds of damage. If your car is ever in a fire, then your insurer should pay out for the necessary repairs. Similarly, if your vehicle is ever stolen, your insurance company should pay out to help you replace it. This kind of cover isn’t always included in the most basic of car insurance policies, so you might have to pay extra to ensure your car is covered for theft. The guide at https://moneysupermarket.com can give you an idea of which policies cover what.

To Protect Your Passengers

As I’ve already mentioned, having the right kind of car insurance will help you afford any medical bills that you incur after a car accident. But that’s not all. If there was someone traveling with you in the car at the time of the accident, then it should pay out to cover all of their related medical costs as well. This will even be the case if the accident was caused by you. After all, the passenger wasn’t behind the steering wheel, so won’t be at fault for the crash at all. No matter what the bill is for, whether it’s for a hospital stay, surgery, or a prescription fee, your insurance should always pay up for your passenger’s expenses.

Pixabay

To Cover Yourself

If you are an uninsured motorist, then you are playing with a big risk. If you are found out, then you could be found to be breaking the law, as you won’t be compliant with your region’s driving laws. As a result, you could end up in court and facing a hefty fine. In some cases, you might even end up with a driving ban. Not only that, though, but you risk losing a lot of money if you were to end up in an accident, even if it wasn’t your fault. That’s because you will have to pay for all of your vehicle’s repairs using your own money and won’t receive an insurance payout to help you with the financial costs. The expense will be a lot higher if you did cause the accident, as you would need to pay for the other driver’s repairs and possibly their legal fees too.

As you can see then, there are many different reasons why you need to take out sufficient insurance cover for your car. This will help you be a better driver when out on the roads as it keeps you and other road users exceptionally safe and financially secure. So, if you don’t already have some insurance for your car, you might want to think about getting some right now!

How to Find the Best Vehicle for your Business

Buying a vehicle for your business can be a fun experience, but it can also bring about a lot of concern and worry. After all, you have to think about how you are going to save money, how much the vehicle is going to cost when in operation and so much more. If you do not take all of these things into consideration then you may run into problems later on and this is the last thing you need when you already have so much to think about.

Defining Your Goals

It is so important that you are able to choose the right company vehicle for your fleet and if you want to do this then you need to first define what it is you are looking for. You also need to make sure that your vehicle is fit for purpose and that it is also safe as well. If you know that your vehicle is not fit for a project but you need something similar then a rental car may be more suited to your needs as this can save you space in your fleet and it can also save you a ton of money as well. If you have a van or if you know that this is something that you need to invest in then consider making sure that the payload is suitable for the goods that you are trying to transport. You also need to make sure that it can accommodate the size and shape of those goods as well. one thing that a lot of people overlook is the doors. You have to make sure that the goods are going to provide you with easy access and you also need to make sure that they are going to give you the chance to access the load as well. Health and safety is also another thing that you need to take into consideration here, and if you are not careful then you may end up putting your whole team at risk. If you have specialist equipment or if you know that you have set demands for the van then it may be that you need a converter as well but you have nothing to worry about as these are widely available online. A lot of business owners like to offer their employees perk cars and these are great if you want to try and give them a much higher level of flexibility but you do need to make sure that the car can be branded and you also need to have an all-purpose vehicle if possible. It also needs to be safe, easy to drive and designed to be as efficient as possible.

As if that wasn’t enough, you also need to think about your future needs as well. This includes

where you see yourself in 5 years’ time, how you want to expand and if you are going to need more vehicles like this in the future. If so, it may be possible for you to strike a deal with your vehicle provider. It’s also worth talking with your vehicle finance provider as well to see if they can give you any support with your purchase.

Usage

Another thing that you need to do is try and define the usage of your vehicle. You have to think about what types of roads you are going to be driving on, how long those journeys are going to be and even how often you are going to be doing them. Diesels are much more economical when compared to petrol cars and this is especially the case when you are using them for commercial purposes. For this reason, you should always do everything you can to opt for this fuel type. Petrol cars are better when used for short journeys and if you are going a lot of stop-start urban journeys, such as deliveries in the local area then a hybrid may be a much better option. When you are able to think about these three points, you can then feel confident knowing that you are choosing the right engine size and you can also choose the right specification as well.

Feedback

It’s one thing choosing a car for your employees, but you do have to also make sure that they are happy with it as well. When choosing your company car it is a good idea for you to work with your drivers to make sure that they are happy with the vehicle and you also need to make sure that you made the right decision as well. Some companies will even let your employee’s test drive the car as well so this is a great way for you to ensure that you are getting the best value for your money.

How Many Vehicles?

When you have worked out the car that you want and then your requirements, you need to also find out how many vehicles you need. Vehicles will often be ordered to replace your vehicles that are coming up to the end of their contract so it is a good idea for you to order them as they are needed. Expansions, new projects and even acquisition may see that you need more vehicles for your fleet, or if you are planning on downgrading then you may need to let some go. Working your vehicles around the needs of your business is quite possibly the best way for you to make sure that you are getting the best result out of your purchase and you would be surprised at how much this can help you in the future.
