Alternatively, you might enjoy your profession but long for something different as a side hustle. Regardless of how you come to this place, if you are ready for a change, consider the following full-time, part-time, or side hustle jobs.

Personal Trainer

If you enjoy staying physically fit, adding personal trainer to your career goals is the way to go. A personal trainer is an expert in their field and helps others achieve their physical fitness goals. You can become a personal trainer by earning the appropriate certifications for personal trainers based on your interests.

There is great satisfaction in this career niche as you get to see your clients smash their goals and change their bodies day after day. To be a good candidate for this type of role, you should be motivational and positive all while tailoring workouts to your client’s current lifestyle and future goals.

Tour Guide

Being an adventurer does not mean you cannot have a job. In fact, the perfect job for you just might be that of a tour guide. You can establish yourself in almost any city, depending on the country’s work requirements, and enjoy the city while showing it off to others.

Tour guides can do anything from walking tours of cities to include local museums and gardens and the city itself. If you like a little more adventure, you can become an adventure tour guide and lead tourists on hikes, biking tours, mountain climbing expeditions, sailing excursions, and anything else you can think of.

Park Ranger

If you enjoy the great outdoors and have a penchant for preserving it, you should consider a position as a park ranger. Most of these positions involve being actively engaged with the environment around you, whether it is during direct interaction with the land, with people, or both. You can apply both within your local park system or as a National Park Ranger. There are a wide variety of jobs that will be available depending on your location. Some of the available positions may include the following:

  • Land and water conservationist
  • Wild animal tracking
  • Land management and maintenance
  • Fire prevention
  • Tour guide
  • Public education and tours
  • Emergency assistance
  • Plant care

One of the biggest draws in the role of a Park Ranger is that you get to work with nature and the great outdoors. And, it is highly probable that your days will be different depending upon the demands of nature and the current season.

Dog Walker

If you enjoy having furry clients and spending your day in their company, then becoming a professional dog walker is a move you should take. As you begin on your dog walking path (pun intended), you need to find reputable companies to work with for your safety. They will take a percentage of your profits; however, they also become a middle person to vet your clients. As you become more comfortable in your role and receive reputable referrals from your current clients, you may consider going into business for yourself.

A typical dog walking day may include early mornings filled with long walks or runs based on your furry client’s needs. If you have multiple clients, you might walk them in groups or go to each location individually. This can really add up to a lot of steps throughout your day and keep you very active. You will probably have dog walks scheduled throughout the entire day and can even take on some boarders or dog-sit at their homes to bring in some extra money.

Now that you have some new ideas on how to incorporate more movement into your professional life and your day in general, it is time to get started. Try out one of these jobs and get your body moving today. You will help others, pet a few dogs, get exercise, and take care of the environment. All in a day’s work.
